Moissanite Ring

This is a red Moissanite ring. Moissanite was discovered in 1893 by French scientist Henri Moissan. He discovered it in a meteorite in Canyon Diablo located in Arizona. Moissanite is not found abundantly on Earth so what is sold is created in a laboratory. Lab grown gemstones have the same chemical and physical properties as the stone that is mined from the Earth. Moissanite is known for it's high brilliance and intense sparkle, and in fact it has more sparkle than a Diamond. The Moissanite in this ring is red, which was created in laboratory by introducing trace elements into the silicon carbide crystal structure while it is being grown. This ring is sterling silver and is handcrafted in Bali Indonesia. It is a size 6 but can be resized a maximum of two sizes up or down by a jeweler.
